    Hypnosis is the state of altered awareness most often likened to deep relaxation.

    Therapy or counselling is the professional guidance which may be needed in resolving emotional problems. 
     

  • What is a trance?
    Trance is the term used here to describe the natural state of deep relaxation, promoting mental and physical well-being. 

 

  • What does being hypnotised feel like?
    Some people describe it as a daydream, others like the feeling of being just about to drop off to sleep.  You will always remain aware of sounds and sensations around you and be able to move around and speak at will.  

 

  • Will I be put to sleep or lose consciousness?
    No.  You will feel pleasantly relaxed.  You will lose nothing.  You will gain insight.

 

  • How will I feel afterwards?
    Probably as though you have woken up from a deeply refreshing sleep.   You are likely to notice that you feel more positive, motivated and optimistic.   The timescale of this process depends entirely on your personal needs and goals.

 

 

  • How do I know if I need help?

        If you're curious about this website, then you probably already know.   Ask yourself if you feel OK as you are  or whether you would like the opportunity to discuss your feelings with someone who is trained to help.
